I use this unique strategy from what I learned in studying my Nursing major to teaching English in which I call the ADPIE approach. It's a step by step process of teaching. At first, I 'assess' my students level in English through an interview while building rapport. Next, I 'diagnose' the clients level during the first class. The third step, I 'plan' each student's individual learning approach and strategies of lesson execution. Fourth, I do my 'interventions' during the class, such as article discussions, storytelling, free conversations, practice pronunciation, and so on. The last step is to 'evaluate' the students and discover ways to improve their English more and more. I, myself, know how it feels like to study a new language. I'm also studying Japanese as my third language. That's why I am a persistent teacher because I know the frustration and stress of wanting to speak a new language fluently and with ease. This is one of the reasons I’m very patient when it comes to teaching children or beginners.
