専門はピアノで、名門ジュリアード音楽院で修士課程修了。
日本とアメリカ、両方で育った経験を生かして英語とピアノの指導をしています。

I spent the first half of my childhood in Japan, then I moved to the States with my family when I was 11. I continued my Japanese studies in Japanese schools on Saturdays. I wouldn't say I can write Japanese at a collegiate level, but I am confident in my teaching style which is mostly conversational.

A big portion of my teaching style involves listening and thinking in the language being spoken - as I started English from zero but still at a relatively young age, I strongly believe that your ears are your best friend. Therefore, I will mostly be speaking in Japanese throughout the lesson, unless an explanation in English is necessary.

ピアノは3歳から日本で始めて、アメリカの音楽教育も経験してきました。
また、アメリカの総合大学で初級ピアノの講師もしていました。
初級の方から留学を考えている方まで、それぞれの生徒さんのニーズに合わせてレッスンを進行していきたいと思います。
日本語、英語でレッスン可能です。

I have a rather unique experience with piano - started in Japan at the age of 3 and continued in America when I moved there at age 11. I've seen the pros and cons of music education in both of these countries, and I have a hybrid system. I have experiences in classical, musical theatre, pop/rock, and a little bit of jazz.
My teaching experiences in piano teaching include beginner to advanced private instruction as well as beginner-level collegiate classroom instruction. I have a MM in piano from Juilliard, as well as a BM from University of Southern California.
For my beginning level students, I'd love to know what your short term goals are. Do you want to play fur elise for your next talent show or are you learning it as a supplement to show off your amazing vocals?
For advanced students looking into auditioning for music schools, I'm happy to share my experiences with audition process as well as guidance and support with it.
